Tribe of creativity!

It's that time of year in GR where our city truly comes alive- ArtPrize9! Creativity abounds with an abundance of beauty to take in with all our senses. So much to do, see, and experience. Uber talent in our fair city; overflowing creativity within EmbodyGR.

What a celebration of creativity & courage we had last week! Amazing evening with Amanda Joy Gilbert & Steve Stone of Crowns of Courage & Happy Henna and our musician Tom Hymn. Through art, song, yoga, meditation, & connecting, some vulnerable truths were shared. Creativity is a challenge and sharing our heart's passion pretty much always requires us to step up into a larger version of ourselves. And this is a struggle when the world often seeks to keep us the same, small, and manageable. This my friends is not growth; not for our brave wild hearts. We are built for going outside our zone of comfy, for struggle, for transformation, for falling & failing and for shining like the sun! You, me, US!

So much gratitude for Amanda & Steve's work with women struggling with cancer offering them a new & unique opportunity for confidence, connection & courage to face health struggles together. To 'Tangerine Dreams' Tom Hymn for making art, sharing heart, and being love... always. And to the People Picture Company- special shout to photog goddess Bri Goodyear Luginbill- for your glorious work capturing all our magic in motion. A final thank you to each person who showed up last week. May our message of our courage stay with you to lead your life with heart knowing your tribe at EmbodyGR has your back!

This week, 9/20,  'Hang 10 with Jen!!!" Join our friend Jen Burke Byrne as our guest teacher at EmbodyGR. Reminder we will be in the tree house the next 3 Wednesdays due to ArtPrize.

Next week, 9/27, we will take a walking field trip from Fountain Street to see Crowns of Courage at the DeVos Place. Plan to meet in the TREE HOUSE for an abbreviated yoga practice to begin promptly at 6:30; we will depart for our tour at 7 and will end by our regularly scheduled time at 8pm. Feel free to continue ArtPrizing with friends past 8pm around the town.  Be sure to check out the works of other EmbodyGR community members featured this year. Renee Therriault's 'Field of Flight' is at the Women's City Club & Monica Stegeman's 'Finding The Slipstream' is at Lions & Rabbits.

Drink in our city; feast on creativity; live from the wilderness of your brave heart!

Courageously yours,
Dana

Welcome Fall with Courage

Hello tribe of beauty!

Happy September! Anyone else like the anticipation of Fall? Getting back into a more settled routine, a softer radiance of sun, a beckoning to turn in just a little, and inspiration to buy new notebooks & sharpen pencils with which to create life anew. As much as summer is a blessing beyond measure, there is a gift in this transition into a new rhythm.

You won't want to miss this week's extra special gathering. Our September community partners Amanda Joy Gilbert & Steve Stone of Crowns of Courage will join us to share their 2017 ArtPrize installation, the positive impact it has had on so many women who have had a battle with cancer, & ways to offer support. Also, Tom Hymn will be our special musical guest sharing some tunes off his latest record release 'Tangerine Dream." Bring extra dollar bills to purchase a copy of your own.

 See you on the mat!

Namaste loves,
dana
