While we are all sheltered in place and physically distant, your team at Embody is working to keep us connected, health, and happy!

A Special Meditation Prayer Just for YOU!

These are trying times to be sure. I was struggling to find just the right way to connect with you all in a meaningful way this week. I searched my heart to see what it was I needed personally and it came to me immediately; share my go to meditation that I call upon when times are particularly challenging.

It is perfect in these times of fear & uncertainty. It was taught to me by my husband Jason Hubbard & I have continued to teach it over the years at 
EmbodyGR; many of you likely remember the practice. So here it is in video form for you to see me, feel the love I am sending, and to know my heart is with yours.

I am also now sending this prayer to the greater Embody community & our world! May this practice to bless, heal, and remind us all that we are not alone; we will be okay; we are BELOVED! Come back to it again & again when you feel anxiety rising, fear creeping in and stress setting in- this is balm for our weary souls.

How are you all holding up? Healthy and safe I hope. 

We have found ourselves in unprecedented, difficult times that no one could have predicted and none of us wanted. We are practicing a new term and way of being I never even considered; physical distancing. Though we all may be sheltered in place, we are not spiritually disconnected. We know each mindful breath connects us one to the other. We have done these practices collectively for years at Embody, not only to be our healthiest, happiest & highest selves, but also to be grounded and prepared when life takes a turn (boy did it turn).

The good news is we are working toward online capability to offer virtual weekly gathering. Wednesday, March 25, we shared a 30-minute yoga flow practice with EmbodyGR Team Teacher Melissa Vannette. She was amazing!! It is posted on facebook. Watch, practice and SHARE with others! We even held our first Facebook Watch Party tonight. Be on the look out for an invitation to join us in an 'interactive yoga' Watch Party on facebook next week.

Until then, know how deeply you are loved, valued, missed and still part of our larger circle of care. Remember you are better than good just as you are! Physical distance cannot divide us; we are connected in one love!

Let's LOVE our brains with EmbodyGR

Anyone else out there fascinated by the human brain like me? The brain is one of the most incredible organs in the human body and the research is coming in at a fantastic pace. We are learning so much about the mind/body connection and how our thoughts, words, actions and daily choices have a huge impact on the health of our brains. 

This week we are lucky to welcome a local expert on the brain who also happens to be an Anusara trained yoga teacher like me and Mimi Ray! Drum roll for the incredible Emeline Tolod who will lead EmbodyGR in a discussion about brain health as well as lead us in our yoga & mindfulness practice. We will have a direct experience of how our thoughts, breath, intention, meditation and movement can impact mental wellness, our brain functionality and quality of life.

March is also traumatic brain injury awareness month as well as Mindful March with our ongoing partner, Love Your Brain. You can sign up for their daily meditation challenge here and journey into the depth of YOU. 

May your know your brain, love your brain and do the work to make your brain healthier each & every day.

Our Mission

Embody is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to positively impacting global health and well-being for all people. We provide access to physical and mental wellness education for all regardless of race, identity, orientation, creed, abledness, or ability to pay. Using the healing tools of yoga and mindfulness, and through providing meaningful volunteer and service opportunities, we help people regain agency over their own well-being. Our FREE weekly programs and events empower individuals to become healthier, happier, and make the world better in their own way. We are dedicated to improving the quality of people’s daily lives so they can “Feel Better Do Good.
