Dear ones,
Ever have moments of beauty bring you to your knees; in gratitude, awe, humility, and reverence? As I was hiking the hills this week, contemplating life's meaning, my fit in our world & the greater arc of the universe, I was met with illumined hills, poppies, dancing light, and unspeakable divine presence. My breath was taken away. I was kissed by the divine. Time stood still. I had no answers to my questions weighing on my heart; I no longer needed them. I was filled with only gratitude for the present moment embracing life as a miracle. That was more than enough. I was for a moment only light and freedom; yoga's soul. Spring's gift bestowed upon me. May you too embrace Spring's blessing. May she sing to your soul, fill your heart, inspire your mind and light your journey's way. And may Thay's poem beckon you to the practice of living your life fully as a miracle. 'Our true home is in the present moment. To live in the present moment is a miracle. The miracle is not to walk on water. The miracle is to walk on the green Earth in the present moment, to appreciate the peace and beauty that are available now. Peace is all around us- in the world and in nature- and within us- in our bodies and our spirits. Once we learn to touch this peace, we will be healed and transformed. It is not a matter of faith; it is a matter of practice. – Thich Nhat Hanh Yours in light & freedom, Dana Join the Party!

Dear ones,
The time has come we look forward to after a long night of the winter's soul- SPRING! We made it. New life, new light coming. Before we charge forward, let us not forget to remember & release what has been. This is an important part of living a fully present , fulfilling life. Many in our nation & across the globe have lost loved ones due to Covid-19, systemic racism and political unrest. Many lost jobs, businesses, and hope. Yet, babies were born, kids graduated, people married, vaccines are rapidly getting into arms, businesses & places to gather are slowly reopening. Embody shifted to a virtual platform to continue to gather each week & increase our reach and impact. Sweet. Sour. Same bowl. Let us grieve our losses and extend permission to bless & release them. Celebrate the joys. Continue to live in hope and gratitude. My prayer has been and continues to be; inhale, please help me & exhale, thank you. Repeat. Again. Again. And again. This spring... What do you grieve & choose to release from winter's passing? What do you celebrate & choose to move forward into Spring's light? What is your prayer, mantra, intention moving into a season of hope? What will you do with your one epic & irreplaceable existence? Please send me an email or DM me on socials. I truly want to know of your journey. Here's to the preciousness of life! Shine on, Dana Upcoming Events

Hello beautiful humans,
March is traumatic brain injury (TBI) awareness month. We are excited to once again be partnered with Love Your Brain to help bring more education & action to supporting those who have suffered TBI's while also to encourage personal care for brain health. We will be practicing meditations and yoga poses that help restore & heal the brain. Over the rest of March we will explore the power and critical importance our brains, learn yoga & mindfulness practices to support and grow our brain capacity while helping those who have had TBI's get access to yoga's healing tools through not only our work, but also to Love Your Own Brain. 7 Facts About the Brain
Our brains are a miracle! Here's 7 facts you might now know about the brain as laid out by brain guru Jim Kwik:
1. Your Brain Functions Are Equal to Billions of Micro-Computers The brain's neurons range from 86 billion to 100 billion. Neurons transmit nerve impulses throughout the brain. That's like having 86 billion computers in your brain supporting you in every moment of life. It is incredible. 2. Your Brain Makes Neurons in Every Moment Our brains never stop making brain cells as long as we are alive. 3. Our Brains are in a Constant Case of Programming & Reprogramming Our brain is a complicated network of neurons connected to synapses that fire & wire to perform tasks and functions. All neurons are connected and bring both hemispheres of brain together when necessary to make associations easier & quicker. 4. Your Brain Needs a Huge Amount of Energy The brain represents only 2% of the body weight of an adult and consumes 20% of the energy produced by the body. 5. Your Brain Does Not like Going on Diets For your brain to work at its full potential, eat well. Your brain needs nutrition or it will eat the other brain cells. Best brain foods: avocado, coconut oil, blueberries, broccoli, eggs, leafy greens, fish, turmeric, walnuts and dark chocolate. 6. Each region of the Brain is Specialized and Versatile at The Same Time Each region of the brain has some specific functions. Most functions require collaboration between different brain regions. This helps the patients with brain damages to compensate part of the lost functions. When a region gets damaged, other regions take over its functions. 7. Your Brain Wears a Watch When you learn a new skill especially if this skill is intense or complicated, it takes a longer time to comprehend it. Stay with it. Upcoming Events

Do it now: Visualize to Realize Your Highest Potential Hello amazing humans, In honor of March 8, International Women's Day, I acknowledge the works of all women. Not always an easy job. How many of you women, like me, have lost your way in sacrifice to family, work, community, the greater good; in conformity to norms that do not fit you? That is a painful, small, and lonely place to be that can actually get applauded from society at large. It does not serve us to completely surrender our identity, power, careers, or passions, to anyone. When we will live unapologetic, staying true to who we are and why we are here, we can relax and so can everyone else around us. It does not serve to be tied in knots, stressed out, running all over creation to be the best whatever we are trying to be. Glennon Doyle preaches & I stand with her: “When women lose themselves, the world loses its way. We do not need more selfless women. What we need right now is more women who have detoxed themselves so completely from the world's expectations that they are full of nothing but themselves. What we need are women who are full of themselves. A woman who is full of herself knows and trusts herself enough to say and do what must be done. She lets the rest burn.” Women's Day is a day to celebrate how far we have come, and how far we still have to go. The work starts within. That is what we do each week at Embody; healing tools to help you value & prioritize yourself. Affirm what an amazing human you are and you deserve the gift each week to 'Feel Better.' Give yourself credit for all the ways you 'Do Good.' See you on the mat each & every Wednesday. Love and solidarity, dana Upcoming EventsUpcoming Events: Join Year of the Warrior! It’s the world that convinced her she did not.’
Rupi Kaur Greetings yogis! When was the last time you sat down and really got into your imagination: harnessed the power of your mind to create something that doesn't exist yet; channeled your thoughts to create positive change in your life? In 2014, a scientific study was done by Brian Clark at Ohio University. His work proved that sitting still, while just thinking about exercise, might make us stronger. How? Clark and colleagues recruited 29 volunteers and wrapped their wrists in surgical casts for an entire month. During this month, half of the volunteers thought about exercising their immobilized wrists. For 11 minutes a day, 5 days a week, they sat completely still and focused their entire mental effort on pretending to flex their muscles. When the casts were removed, the volunteers that did mental exercises had wrist muscles that were two times stronger than those that had done nothing at all. How cool is that? There are many examples which illustrate improvement with power of the mind. Your mind is that powerful! So let's learn how to use it as a transformative tool. 5 Tools to Create the Life You WantHere are 5 tools to add to our tool kit to help us positively impact our health & wellbeing while creating lives we love! 1. Mantra repetition: Look in the mirror each morning when you first & repeat 33 times the phrase 'I am powerful. I am living a life I love.' 2. Establish goal(s)/desired outcome(s): Get clear with one word/phrase or simple sentence. 3. Index Cards: Write goal(s) on index card (s) & review each morning. Only one goal per card. 4. Sticky Notes: Place around home, in your car, as a book mark etc... to remind you of your goal(s). 5. Visualization: See yourself as your highest & best self. Do this right when you wake up (before your feet hit the floor): see, feel and experience yourself living what/how you wish to be most. Same before bed. This helps you keep the intention, energy & images primed and flowing throughout the day and also while you sleep. Let's Practice!Join us at Embody (from wherever you are!) this week as we explore the power of visualization linked with breath & poses to realize our highest selves. Open your heart, free your mind, live your best life! In the words of Buddha: “What you think, you become. What you feel, you attract. What you imagine, you create.” Powerfully yours, Dana Christian Lee Upcoming EventsJoin Year of the Warrior!
