August Yoga and Events - Lots of Love!

8/10/2017

Tribe of generosity & love,

First off gotta give a huge ROAR of thanks to all of you for making my Leo Sun birthday on August 1 so special! The kind words & wishes, cards, gifts, cakes, ice cream, fresh lavender w/ a mini-jar of honey, bracelets, flowers, songs, poems, & on.. AND a very special lion head, hand crafted by the uber talented & kindest heart Jesse Moran. Truly, I feel wrapped in love.

Speaking about feeling wrapped in love... how about that full moon last night? Anyone else awake, visited by vivid dreams, or both? The moon definitely shines down, pouring her with her powerful energies on us all. We'll be bringing that to our mats for sure :)

This week at EmbodyGR we have two special guests. Wendy Taylor from the GR Red Project will update us on The Walk To Stop HIV in September. Also our very own Monica Stegeman will share a little about her ArtPrize 2017 piece called "The Slipsteam." She will speak about how her installation is inspired by the human dream state. She believes our dreams reflect our psychological state and thus become a map of the human unconscious.

Immediately following our practice Wednesday night, Monica needs our help with a brief writing piece for her installation. Won't it be great for all our hands & hearts to be part of her ArtPrize exhibit? Plan on sticking around for a few. Here's to 'doing good' as a community!

Check out the below information to get important August dates in your calendar.

May you life reflect the radiance of your heart's full moon dream!

love,
dana

Tribe of Pride!

Gotta start off with a big shout out to Melissa Thorndill & Stacy Calcatera for being our most amazing guest teachers! Isn't it wonderful to welcome new humans into our circle of care. Deep bow of gratitude Stacy & Melissa- we love you!

This week I am baaack and we're going to bring August on with a roar! Wear your favorite colors of the lion- oranges, reds, yellows, you get the idea. We will cultivate & embody courage, strength in community, and personal confidence utilizing the powerful tools of yoga, meditation & poetry! Alex Beecroft, our incredible local spoken word poet, will be sharing his work with us. You gotta experience the power of his craft! Bring your self & maybe a friend who could use being part of our "pride" in their lives. Cannot wait to see you all on the mat soon!

Big love!
dana

P.S. Check out the volunteer opportunity this Thursday to help out the Kent County Water Conservation group in the Events section!
