My heart overflows with gratitude for the beautiful gathering you all created to celebrate my birthday! Peri's teachings and holding space for us to ask the challenging question, "What does being a warrior mean to you?" was powerful!  Never have I had anyone sing happy birthday to me, let alone two different versions, in down dog! I was more able, than I have ever experienced, to receive the musical vibrations into my heart.

And what a cake- the EmbodyGR logo artfully done over yummy carrot cake was a divine treat! Thanks to every person who showed up, offered their time & talents, and brought their 100% love game face to celebrate my life! Being able to receive this love and blessing from you all as a participant in our community was such a gift. Your hearts are so filled with goodness that I struggle to find words. I thank each of you with all of my being for your presence in my life.

These gifts were a powerful reminder of gratitude as a meaningful practice and empowering feeling. This week we shall gather around gratitude- breathe, meditate, practice yoga, write letters and set our internal compass by making a personal plan for gratitude to be a daily practice in our lives.

Research shows gratitude improves mental, physical, and relational well-being while impacting overall happiness. Over time these effects are known to be long-lasting. Increased optimism, self-esteem, energy, self-care and strengthened immune system & heart are just a few benefits of the practice of gratitude.

Also, this week the amazing Brian Keeley will join us to share what is new with the GR Red Project & the upcoming Walk to End HIV on September 10. They will be our community partner for September so be sure to come out, learn more, and find ways to engage that are meaningful for you!

Please join us, bring friends, and let us gather Wednesday around this centering and important practice of gratitude while we find ways to act powerfully for good in our GR community. Not only will you feel better, you will be inspired to do more good and that is a win-win for us all!

Deep bow of gratitude,
Dana
