Tribe of soul,

In the summer we here in Michigan have a closer relationship to our precious natural gem of a resource, H20! We are reminded of water's power to calm, cleanse, and refresh our souls.  We swim, fish, ski, kayak, boat, skim board, wake surf and on & on.... What a gift to have the Great Lakes & our many inland lakes right in our backyard.  Did you know if are in Michigan you are no more than 85 miles from one of the Great Lakes?

Did you know our Great Lakes ecosystem provides drinking water to over 30 million people and is the largest source of surface fresh water in the Western Hemisphere? So it's not just an out there concept, we are all connected to our water in Michigan. And we gotta protect this source of life!

This month EmbodyGR is partnering with the Kent County Water Conservation (KCWC) to raise our awareness around the issues that affect our water right here at home. We will educate ourselves with facts & take appropriate actions to #DoGood to stand for water. We will have speaker Stephanie Mabie join us on July 5 to give us her perspective on the state of the Great Lakes, describe what KCWC is, why it's important, and how we can get involved. That is the Embody way of doing good: awareness, education, & action. In that order. We awaken ourselves to issues, gather the facts and then find ways to help make our community/world a better place for all people. No politics - just good works done by individuals inspired from their own hearts.

Until we meet again be well & happy!

Love & peace,
dana

P.S. Please note the July 12th VENUE CHANGE!!!

“Water is fluid, soft, and yielding. But water will wear away rock, which is rigid and cannot yield. As a rule, whatever is fluid, soft, and yielding will overcome whatever is rigid and hard. This is another paradox: what is soft is strong.”
